{Dave and Sarah}

10 August 2013

Ashley Inn Bryantsville, KY

Well it sure has been a busy summer and blogging unfortunately has fallend behind. But here is one of my fav weddings from August! Sarah was so sweet to work with and I am so happy for her and Dave. These two really had a vibrant love and it sounded everywhere to everyone the day they wed. Thankfully their outdoor ceremony was not ruined by the rain. Black clouds lingered over the hills right before the ceremony, but they made it through dry!

Their wildflower and rustic decor added so much color to their wonderful day. Enjoy the pictures.

{Ryan and Stephanie}

06 July 2013Marriott Griffin Gate Lexington, KY

Another wonderful wedding. I feel blessed to work with and form great relationships with such amazing couples. Stephanie and Ryan choose to have a rustic wedding at the Marriott Griffin Gate. Burlap, wood, lace, mason jars, antique horse shoes and accent greens ran throughout their wedding day.

Stephanie wanted lavenders, mauves and deep burgundy flowers incorporated into the bouquets and the centerpieces. She made my day when I handed over her bouquet and she gasp.  I have to admit, I loved this bouquet, especially the geranium leaves wrapped around the base.

Though their outdoor ceremony was moved indoors due to rainy weather, nothing stopped this couple. Everything still looked beautiful!

Congrats to you both. Wishing your family, especially sweet little Lydia all the best in years to come.

{Brodi and Kelli}

22 June 2013Todds Road Grace Church Lexington, KY

I had the wonderful pleasure of getting to know and work with Kelli and Brodi, the wonderful bride and groom, and the Kelli's parents. Since Kelli's mom Ellis was planning the wedding, I consistently corresponded with her. Wow did I learn early on how crafty she really was! She made table runners, napkin holders, keepsakes, the cake and even put together the succulent centerpieces. I was thourougly impressed.

Kelli wanted a very rustic wedding, and she adored succulents. All the bouquets had a natural feel with succulents and accent greens tucked throughout. With canary yellow accents we had a lot of fun weaving billy balls into the bouquets, the centerpieces and the whimsical head table.

I think what I enjoyed most about working with this couple was to see the love the family had for one another. The wedding was hours from starting and Kelli's Dad was already tearing up. This family is a wonderful illustration of love. Cheers to you both!

{Sam and Amy}

22 June 2013 Paintsville, KY

I loved getting to know Amy and Sam. Amy is a photographer so she is also involved in the Kentucky Wedding Industry. She has great style, creativity and loves details. Check out her website Amy Wallen Photography. Her and Sam live in Eastern Kentucky so it is a nice treat when I bump into her in the Lexington area.

Their wedding was a rustic chic, so the flowers were fluffy with vintage touches. Flowers were light pink, pale peach and champagne with pops of gray and yellow. I love using Astilbe so designing all these boquets was really enjoyable! All the boutonnieres were a wee bit different which was a lot of fun.

Congrats Amy and Sam!

{Justin and Heather}

01 June 2013 Southeast Christian Church Louisville, KY

Had fun with these two, and loved that we were a part of their day. Hide and Seek helped with all the personal decor. Heather's all white peony bouquet smelled wonderful.

Wishing them the best in their new home town of Nashville.

Kaity was a blast getting to know! Her upbeat demeanour and personable spirit always made me look forward to our meetings. Her rustic wedding was wonderful and I truly fell in love with her bridal bouquet. Kaity said she loved greens and texture and that is exactly what she got. Her Mother's bridal lace drapped from the stems and the coral charm peonies were stunning when they opened.

Congrats you two!

{Matt and Madison}

2013-06-07_0015.jpg 18 May 2013 Ashley Inn Bryantsville, KY

On a hot humid day on a horsefarm outside Lexington Kentucky we were VERY thankful for no rain. I've said before, I always love working with flowers, but being a people person, sometimes my favorite part of my job is meeting with really interesting people. Well Madison and Matt are two pretty cool people! I think what initially attracted me to Madison was her amazing non-profit Eye to Eye Foundation. Check out their work in Ghana! While living in Ghana Matt came to vist and proposed! Pretty cool.

Their wedding flowers were full of bright colors and foliage accents. All the bouquets and centerpieces had lavender and fresh mint popping out at every and any angle. Oh it was hard to part with these blooms! The smell was phenomenal.

Madison wanted two varities of centerpieces, one filled with color and the other to have a fresh green / planted look. Both worked visually against all the white linens, napkins and chairs.

Eucalyptus was everywhere when Matt proposed in Africa, so it was a detail you found throughout their special day-the ceremony, the personal flowers, the centterpieces.  My two favorite touches were the sprigs of eucalyptus tucked into each napkin and the eucalpytus wreath that hung on the mansion's front door.

Congrats to two awesome people!
