Last weekend Hide and Seek had a fabulous time preparing fresh bright spring flowers for our wedding at the Marriott Resort and Spa, and was extra thankful the rain held out till after the ceremony. The wedding colors were yellow and navy and Julia came to me requesting TULIPS in all the bouquets. With that we went to work making English style bouquets filled with ALL yellow tulips. To add texture, the bouquets had an assortment of tulip varieties. The girls' wore navy blue dresses so the yellow bouquets were an awesome "pop" for the ceremony. Julia's flowers, of course the most beautiful, had white and yellow tulips. All the bouquets were wrapped and accentuated with playful blue and white striped grosgrain ribbon from Ribbon Revelry.
For the reception flowers we used an assortment of white and yellow flowers: hydrangea, tulips, ranunculus, veronica, freesia, scabiosa, pussy willows, etc. The different blue and yellow patterned fabric accent / decor used through the reception, on the tables, gift bags, etc, were simple but a fun addition the wedding celebration.
